Living with Heart Failure

In March I was diagnosed with a person that is living with heart failure.  This news has rocked me and has been hard for me over the last few months, especially mentally.  I am hopeful that the medicine I am now on will help strengthen my heart but in the meantime no strenous activity (which if you know me, I love working out hard so this has been a huge challenge for me), lower sodium diet, taking my pulse and blood pressure every day and being consistent with my meds.  I also wore a heart monitor for a month and that determined that it was best if I have a defibrilator put in me as a lifeline, so if my heart gets out of rhythm for a long period of time it will be shocked back into place.

I am beyond thankful for family and friends for all of the love, gifts, positive thoughts and prayers as I am going through this large curve in my road.

First time I was able to wash my hair, post surgery...I was excited =)

My new battle wound....no pretty but it will have to do =)
