December

Reese got student of the month, she absolutely loves school and it is so fun to watch her grow =).
New jammies from Sparkle Girl the Elf and visiting Santa, this was the first year Avery was not too sure of what to think of him.

Our traditional trip to the North Pole with a coworker of mine and her daughter. Nate is not into very many holiday activities, so it is always nice to have other people to enjoy these things with.

I was terrible at taking pictures on Christmas morning =(, but it is so much fun watching the girls on Christmas morning.

Santa Arrived

Making cinnamon rolls in their new aprons

The last two Christmas's we have not been able to go over to the west side to celebrate the holidays with my family, but this year we met my mom's side of the family at my grandparents cabin for a day full of sledding, playing in the snow, games and lots of laughs.

Halloween/November

Took the girls to Disney on Ice

Since Reese was at school this year, she was not able to come to my school for kiddie trick or treat, but Avery was still able to come.

Our 3rd year trick or treating with the Gleason Family, always a fun time

We took a little vacation to Portland at the beginning of November to get away and go and see a couple Portland Trailblazer games.

Fall

I participated in my second annual tough mudder at the end of September and it is always so much fun, lots of mud and laughs!

Reese went on her first field trip to the pumpkin patch with her class and then the girls and I also went up and picked out pumpkins for Halloween.

Reese starts kindergarten

I cannot believe Reese is starting kindergarten. Reese and I had a mom and daughter date and went school shopping. She had a blast.

We also had a mom and daughter date and went and got our nails painted for the first day of school. She is so excited, but really nervous. She says she is most excited to meet new friends and ride the school bus =).

Summer

I started school again to get my administrative credential so the first three weeks of my summer was spent in classes. I enjoyed the classes, but it was a lot of work.  We were able to spend the 4th of July with Nates family. It was very low key, but we had a good time.  Reese went to Vacation Bible School for a week and Avery went to a ballet dance camp.  They had a great time.

Reese had her first sleepover with her friend Harper...they had a blast =)

Exhausted from her sleepover...Reese never falls asleep in the car

4th of July

The girls and I left for the West Side and were there for a week before Nate and the Gleason's met us in Seattle for a little mini vacation.  Visiting family and friends was so much fun, but so busy. It was great to get back home.

Summer fun at a local water park...the girls had a blast

n August we had a great time with friends, and Nate surprised me with a trip to Chicago to celebrate our 9 year anniversary....to say I was shocked was an understatement. We had a blast, ate lots of good food, acted like we were 21 again, went to a cubs game in Wrigley field and did the tourist thing with some of Chicago's attractions. Nate's cousin lives in Chicago so it was fun to see him and hang out with him too =).
