Baby Showers

We are very blessed to have such amazing family and friends. These last two weeks were a whirlwind with three amazing baby showers. Baby girl is already one spoiled little princess. Nate cannot believe how much stuff she already has. Last weekend my cousin Molly, sister Katie, and friends Jill and Lori all helped put on an amazing shower on the Westside. Then on Friday my wonderful coworkers put on a shower for me after school, lots of cute clothes from all of them. Then today was another great shower hosted by my mother in law and friends Heather and Kelly. I cannot thank all of these ladies enough for all that they did for me and baby girl. We are very lucky. Below are a few pictures of the showers!

Heather and Kelly (awesome friends from my Masters program) Only missing Kelly I, but we will see you in April =)

I cannot believe in about 4 weeks she will be here. I am still having ultrasounds and weekly appointments with my doctor. Everything is looking good, but she is still incredibly shy. The ultrasound tech has tried for the last two weeks to get a cute picture of her face, but she always turns her head or covers her face with her hands (not sure if that is being modest or stubborn). If she does not come by her due date, I will be induced that Friday or Saturday because my doctor does not want her cooking too long =). Besides my belly getting bigger by the day, I have also been blessed with swelling. My hands and feet are turning into giant sausages. Nate thinks it is funny and laughed last night for about five minutes and kept saying, "My wife has cankles!" Something I hoped to never get, but Welcome To Pregnancy I guess. Below are a few pictures of her very messy room and me just over 35 weeks.

35 1/2 weeks...not sure my belly can stretch much more!
2 quilts and 3 blankets made by friends and family....she sure is loved!

Her bedding made by Bekah!!!! Thanks Bekah!!!

The start of her clothes pile....did not realize I need to get special laundry detergent!

All of the diapers Nate and I have stocked up on and then from the diaper raffle from the shower in Spokane!

33 Weeks

Well 7 weeks to go...crazy to think that she is almost here. I am now starting my weekly ultrasounds and appointments with my doctor to make sure that baby girl isn't getting too big or isn't too distressed with the diabetes....everything looked great today she scored an 8 out of 8 on her biophysical test (apparently that is the test babies have when the mom has gestational diabetes)....she is weighing a little over 4 pounds and according to the doctor she is in the 62nd percentile. Although, he did walk in and say well your baby is a bit on the larger side weighing at about 6 pounds 14 ounces....my expression on my face must have been priceless, he just laughed and then told me the real weight...thank God she is not that big. I got a few pictures of her, but they are hard to see....I got to see her practicing her breathing, opening her eyes, but of course she was super modest and would not let us get a good view of her little face. The ultrasound tech. did say that she already has some hair on head, but the picture is hard to see =). We are excited for all of our showers in a couple weeks!!! Here is a couple pictures of me at 33 weeks!!!

Front view (to me I do not look quite as big this way)

31 Weeks!

9 Weeks to go...crazy that we are in the single digits...we are extremely excited to meet our little girl. She is always moving, not quite sure when she sleeps, but all of her activity reassures me that she is doing well =). Although, I do have to admit watching your stomach move is a bit freaky...Nate thinks its gross to watch, but doesn't mind feeling my stomach. I was blessed with awesome genetics (sarcasm) and was diagnosed with gestational diabetes, so I get to eat a low carb diet until she arrives and prick my finger four times a day to test my sugar levels...its been a little over a week and to be honest it has not been that bad. Other than that, nothing else has changed, getting bigger and bigger by the day and slowly getting closer to a completed nursery =). Here are a few pictures of our purchases in the last few weeks and a picture of me at 31 week

My lovely friend Kels told me there was a deal at gap on onesies...went a little overboard!

Had to buy a couple Bengals items for our precious daughter =)

The Nursery

Since we found out officially that we are having a little girl things have been coming together. We have all of the furniture put together and I went with Bekah to pick out the material for the bedding. Bekah has been so kind to make the bedding for me since I am so picky and wanted a unique room. The only guidelines that I got from Nate was that he did not want a pink room. So, I came home with a teal paisley and mustard yellow paisley material, not his favorite but he is going to deal with it =). Nate's mom came over and painted the room! Bless her heart...Nate and I both are not big fans of painting. Now we can let the decorating begin. Below are a few pictures of Baby Girl's room. Enjoy! 11 weeks away...I cannot believe it!

A couple onesies I bought when I was registering....the strawberry on the bottom is the best!

Tried to get a better image of Baby Girl because the last ones were too dark

A few things that I had in my room growing up that we will pass along to baby girl

The color of the walls that Kathy painted....bright and cheery!

The crib that my amazing husband put together all by himself =)

Our Friday night date a couple of weeks ago..putting together the changing table

Finally the fabrics that I have chosen...not too girly..we will also have white to calm the busy patterns...I cannot wait to see the bedding completed...Thanks Bekah!!!!

28 Weeks

At our 28 week appointment baby GIRL Stultz decided to finally cooperate. We are so excited and can't wait to start planning the nursery (well, I'm excited for that part =)). The appointment went well and the baby is measuring about 2 pounds 11 ounces (61%) already above average =). Below are a couple pictures of the baby (her profile and a 3d picture). She is already pretty shy, it took her awhile to take her hand away from her face.

Her cute little profile!

3D picture of her face...crazy how detailed they can get!

The furniture has arrived...I will post a picture when the nursery is complete...We have put everything together, so now the painting of the room begins!

Since a lot of you are not able to see my giant belly grow...her is a picture of me at 28 weeks! Most people say I look small (in person), but the doctor told me today that my stomach measurements are actually measuring a couple weeks ahead...that doesn't mean much though he said!

Christmas

Well we have made it to 27 weeks....its crazy how fast it is going by. I cannot believe in just 13 weeks we will meet our little one! We have another ultrasound on the 4th of January so I am hoping to find out the gender, if not looks like we are going with a gender neutral theme for the nursery. We ordered the nursery furniture online yesterday and hopefully it will be here in a week. I cannot wait to put it together and start to see the nursery finally come together as a little room. The baby got a few Christmas presents this year.....the baby is already spoiled. Hopefully I will have more exciting news next week, but if not at least a few pictures of our little one.

A lamb scentsy for the nursery from one of my students and her mom =)

My mom and aunts rocking chair on the left they used when they were little and my rocking chair I used when I was little!

A little Christmas present from my friend Lori...she is so thoughtful

A few Christmas presents from soon to be cousins (Tyler, Mikayla, Layla, and Faith)

24 weeks

Well, I thought I would be writing to tell the gender of our little angel, but once again the little one was shy and modest. Last month it had its legs curled and the most recent one it had its legs crossed and was so comfy in the position it just wouldn't move. Luckily, we get another chance in January so hopefully the third time is a charm, otherwise looks like it might be a surprise at delivery. Everything else is going well with the pregnancy. I have been fighting a cold/sinus infection for the last two weeks, but I think I am finally on the mends (hopefully). I can officially say that I cannot hide my belly anymore, after Thanksgiving it popped and is here to stay for awhile =). Here is a picture of 24 weeks...looks like I am wearing the same outfit, but just a different black tank top and yoga maternity pants (my new favorite pants).
