Nothing too crazy with my birthday, but felt the love that's for sure =). Also was able to escape for a few days with friends to Lake Chelan, it was a blast and much needed! And of course was able to go to New Kids On the Block concert with friends =)
Avery turns 8 and wanted a special day with just her and me. We went to lunch at Subway and shopping. After she bought toys that she wanted so wanted to go back home to play =). She loves donuts and requested a donut cake. A local donut shop made a giant donut and she was in heaven.
Avery is also very strong willed, loves to sing and dance and has an imagination bigger than her. She loves school most days, but towards the end was definitely ready for summer.
Nate and I took a trip to Indianapolis/Chicago to visit friends and took a whopping two pictures... but it was fun and good to get away for a bit. Reese is still busy with soccer and enjoying her team very much. We had an Easter egg hunt and gathering with our neighbors, and of course more pictures of Avery and her adventures in 2nd grade!
Great dinner in Chicago and tried octopus and went to a Pacer and Blazers game while we were in Indy
Crazy to think that Reese is 10 and is definitely coming into her own. She is smart, determined, strong willed and passionate about things and people that she loves. She had her first slumber party for her birthday with a group of girls, in the end she said it was a little much and not sure she will do that again =). She loves being around people, but prefers small groups and still enjoys her alone and down time.
Her party consisted of painting nails, twister, lots of laughs and junk food, movies and games.
Well I have definitely been slacking, but determined to keep up with this tradition for as long as I am able. This year started out with a few snow storms, the Bengals going to the super bowl and lots of pictures from Avery's teacher on all of the second grade traditions and activities.
