Trip to the Coast

In between two weddings, we took a little family vacation to the coast.  We had a blast and Reese was an amazing little traveler (very surprised if you have ever been in the car with her, she hates to be strapped in).  There was a lot of driving involved and lots of breweries to visit, but Reese was a champ. She went to her first zoo (Portland Zoo) and rode on her first carousel (in Seaside).  Reese also got to spend a weekend with her Grammie while Nate and I enjoyed a weekend in Portland.  Nate and I are both horrible at taking pictures so we do not have much from our family vacation......any thoughts or suggestions for a camera that is not too spendy? Suggestions open =).

In the last week or so, Reese loves going to the park and is obsessed with slides, so fun to watch her little daredevil side coming out.  We are also working on jumping =), and saying her name, crazy to think that she is almost 17 months old.

First Part of Summer

A month into summer, where has it gone? It has been pretty warm and Reese and I are a lot alike in the sense that we do not like to be hot! We tried to make it another summer to not get AC, but we have someone coming out tomorrow to give us a quote...pray that it is not too spendy =). Besides being hot, we have been trying to stay busy so we are not stuck at home all day every day.  We visited my family at the end of June, went to a friends BBQ on the 4th, had play dates with friends, and my cousin Molly came to visit for a few days with Layla and Faith. Reese had a blast with them (most of the time).

Reese is growing up so fast, crazy to think she is 16 months already. She had her 15 month checkup last week and she is a energetic, healthy little girl. Stats: Weighing in at 21 lbs. (30%) and is 32 in. tall (70%). She is still a pretty good little eater, but definitely content not eating as much. She is talking more and more.  Her newest words are "more, pwease (please), and cheese.  It is so fun watching her little personality come to life. She is strong willed and stubborn...not sure where she gets that? ;) She loves to be outside and enjoys torturing the dogs.  Some of her dislikes....car rides, being told "no" and being splashed with cold water.

Let Summer Begin!

Whew, it has been a couple months since I have posted anything. I was not prepared to deal with absolute craziness at work after spring break. Last year after spring break I was on maternity leave so I did not have to deal with the checked out students. But, we made it through. I work with amazing people that make going to work easy, even when our students are a little tough =). Now, let summer begin (full time mommy!). I am so excited to spend the summer with Reese. She is such a spunky, energetic little girl and LOVES to be outside. I am sure we will be taking lots of walks and going to the park often.  Nate is still super busy at work, especially since summer is right around the corner, but looking forward to family time during the days =).  Here are a few pictures over the last couple of months. Sorry for the amount of pictures....I will try to be better at least posting some pictures =)
